An EU (CE) certificate does not open the Ukrainian market automatically. Most goods require national conformity procedures, Ukrainian-language labelling and a local responsible party. Frequently asked questions

  • Do we still need certification if the product already has an EU (CE) certificate?

    In most cases, yes. A CE mark and EU certificates do not grant automatic access to the Ukrainian market. For most goods you must pass national conformity assessment under Ukrainian technical regulations, apply the national conformity mark and ensure Ukrainian-language labelling and a local responsible party. Where possible we reuse European test reports to speed the process up.

  • Do you handle radio equipment and wireless devices?

    Yes. Smartphones, Wi-Fi routers and other radio and wireless devices undergo conformity assessment under the radio-equipment technical regulation and electromagnetic-compatibility requirements. We arrange radio and EMC testing together with UCRF (УДЦР) — the Ukrainian State Centre of Radio Frequencies, a state testing and certification centre. This is one of AegisUA's core specialties.

  • Do you work with dual-use goods and export control?

    Yes. We determine whether goods fall under the dual-use control lists, register the entity with the State Service for Export Control (ДСЕКУ) and prepare applications for export, import and transit permits and conclusions, including end-user documentation and an internal compliance programme. This is relevant for advanced electronics, encryption tools, unmanned systems and similar technology.

  • What are technically sophisticated consumer goods (ТСПТ)?

    These are durable non-food goods — household appliances, electronics, equipment — supplied with operating documentation and a warranty. They carry heightened requirements for warranty service, labelling and settlement transactions. ТСПТ is one of AegisUA's core specialties.

  • Can you act as our representative in Ukraine?

    Yes. For foreign manufacturers we act as the authorised representative or responsible person: we maintain documentation, communicate with regulators and provide support during market surveillance, giving you a responsible party present in Ukraine.

  • How long does market entry take?

    It depends on the product type and regime. A declaration under a technical regulation may take a few weeks, while registering a higher-risk-class medical device, obtaining a licence for activities with sources of ionising radiation, or securing dual-use permits takes considerably longer. After an initial audit we provide a realistic timeline and budget.

  • Do you handle both certification and trademarks?

    Yes — that is our difference. We cover the full vertical: product conformity, export control, registration and protection of trademarks, patents and industrial designs, and ongoing regulatory support — in one team and with a single point of accountability.

  • Do you work with radiation-emitting medical devices?

    Yes. Beyond conformity assessment of the medical device by risk class, we support the licensing of activities with sources of ionising radiation — for example X-ray equipment — together with the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate. This is a specialised area in which AegisUA is particularly strong.
